Introduction

Welcome to the characters page of the Blue Glass website. As you probably know, characters are the bones of a story, they move it along and keep it strong. Without plot, you still have characters. But without characters, a plot is just mush on the floor.

This page will tell a bit about each character in the story, as well as what I imagined them to be beforehand. Enjoy.

The Cast

Tristan Raykan
A fifteen year old boy with chocolate brown hair and green eyes. He has a love for insects and all creatures in general, but he's not afraid to stand up for what is right. He's a bit cocky as a servant, and this proves to be his sealing fate as he steals the banana cake from the kitchens. Over the course of the story he grows into a more mature man.

Hettie
She is often described as a "bundle of brown and black fur," but this cat is more than meets the eye. She came to the castle with Tristan when he was two years old, and ever since Tristan has known her uncanny ability of speech. They keep it secret from strangers and even to some friends, though some can percieve more than is on the outside. Hettie is a brown tabby with black stripes and her eyes are piercing blue. She is accused of siding with the enemy more than once.

Rilea Ardien
A princess by blood, Rilea is the second child of the king of Endulen. Her brother, Templeton Ardien, ran away at an early age, leaving Rilea immediate successor to the throne and with the burden of leadership on her shoulders. When she is kidnapped and runs into Tristan, she is snobbish and controlling. However, as they get closer to the final battle at the end, she learns that there is more to life than leading, and she becomes wiser and more down to earth. Her possession of a unique and rather dangerous glass bird puts her life in jepoardy more than once. Rilea has light sandy brown hair and brown eyes, which are often associated with an icy glare.

Corra Flecelle
She may have been born a peasant, but Corra is so much more than her outside appearance. She is simple and calm, even in dangerous situations, and that is somewhat reflected in her peasant's attire and simple clothing. She has brown shoulder-length hair, with blue-green eyes that sparkle with intelligence. Unfortunately, her calm and inviting nature leads her to a path of darkness, and that experience adds a darker side to Corra, leaving her scarred for life, both on the inside and outside.

Templeton (Temp) Ardien (Satchet)
Well, if his name above doesn't give it away, Templeton Ardien is a rebel. Leading a life of his own after running away from the castle, Templeton fashioned a new name for himself: Temp Satchet. Satchet is cocky and arrogant, his accent flavored with cockney, and his "stormy gray eyes" always twinkle with mischeif. At first it seems he is only in the journey for his own personal gain and he'd sacrifice anyone for his life, but this is not so. Although he may be cheeky on the outside, he is anything but spoiled and he knows where his values lie and who he loves. He is a pickpocket and thief, but he forms a bond with Hettie and ultimately, Corra Flecelle.
